Gillette, WY– March 8, 2021 – Last week, the Wyoming Department of Health notified Campbell County Public Health (CCPH) that Campbell County would begin receiving the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. In an effort to provide as many vaccine choices for the public, Public Health has partnered with Campbell County Health (CCH) to offer the Johnson & Johnson vaccine through its Campbell County Medical Group (CCMG) clinics.

CCH will be offering COVD-19 vaccination at several CCMG clinics beginning Thursday, March 11, 2021.

“We are pleased that our citizens now have three vaccine options to chose from, as well as multiple locations where they can receive the vaccine. The sooner we can vaccinate as many people as possible, the sooner we can defeat the virus and resume more normal lifestyles,” explained Jane Glaser, CCPH executive director.

Vaccine clinics are scheduled:

  • Monday from 2-7:30 pm
  • Tuesday from 7:30 am-1:30 pm
  • Wednesday from 8 am-4 pm
  • Thursday from 8 am-12 pm and 1-5 pm

Vaccines will be given at several CCMG clinics, including the Wright Clinic.

Vaccination is by appointment only. Schedule an appointment by calling 307-688-6050 Monday-Wednesday from 10 am-3 pm. When the week’s appointment schedule is full, callers will be asked to call again for the following week. Patients will be directed to a specific clinic location based on the date and time of their appointment. Individuals do not have to be an established CCMG patient to receive the vaccine.

Those eligible for vaccination are those in Phases 1a-1c. The vaccination is free. The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is a single-dose vaccine, unlike the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, administered into the muscle. This vaccine was granted Emergency Use Authorization by the FDA to prevent COVID-19 in individuals 18 years and older.

You can read more about the vaccines at www.cchwyo.org/c19vaccine.

CCPH continues offering the Moderna vaccine on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays between the hours of 8:30-11:30 am and 1-4 pm. Appointments are available by calling 307-682-7275.

Walgreens Pharmacy is offering the Pfizer vaccine, and the Walmart pharmacy offers Moderna’s vaccine.
