Thanks for working here this week: Claudia Sprague, Food Service Tech

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Say hello to Claudia Sprague, a Food Service Tech in the Nutrition Department at Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming.

Nutrition Services at CCMH provides high-quality nutritional care to patients and their families, as well as visitors, at the Cafeteria and in the Coffee Shoppe. As a Food Service Tech, Claudia helps: prepare meals; clean and maintain kitchen equipment; receive, store and distribute food and non-food supplies; serve food; wash dishes; and help with retail food sales.

She’s been working for CCH for nearly three years, but has worked in health care for five years total. Before working here, Claudia worked in the Nutrition Department at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California; she worked as an auditor of safety procedure an oil refinery. Claudia also has a degree in Mexican Business Administration.

Claudia says that she has several health care heroes because her husband’s life was saved here at CCH.

When she’s not at work, her and her husband love to travel.

We asked Claudia what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“I love being part of a team that helps with a patient’s healing process with the care of food and nutrition. I also enjoy the recognition of my customers when they come to me to ask for a recipe or who made the salads.

To me, excellence every day means that you come to work every day knowing that your job can help change somebody’s life. Thanks to CCH for giving me to opportunity to be part of the staff.”

Is there a CCH employee who went the extra mile or shows you extraordinary service? Give them a pat on the back by completing an Excellence Every Day card.

For those who don’t know, March is #NationalNutritionMonth. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition and health—we are all unique with different bodies, goals, backgrounds and tastes! To learn more about the Nutrition services available at CCH, visit www.cchwyo.org/nutrition.
