CCMG Kid Clinic to Offer COVID-19 Vaccination for Children Ages 5 and Up

Campbell County Medical Group’s Kid Clinic, located at 702 S. Kendrick, east of Twin Spruce Junior High School, will offer COVID-19 vaccination clinics for pediatric patients (ages 5 to 21) beginning Friday, January 21, 2022.
From the American Academy of Pediatrics, “The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) urges children and adults to get the COVID-19 vaccine and booster as soon as they are eligible. . . [B]eing fully vaccinated and boosted helps protect kids from serious disease and hospitalization from COVID.”
Kid Clinic will offer vaccinations starting Friday, January 21, 2022, from 1 to 5 pm. The second session is Friday, January 28 from 1 to 5 pm. Thereafter, the vaccination clinic will be held every other Friday. Please call 307-688-8700 to schedule appointments. Non-Wyoming residents should bring their child’s vaccination records. All patients should bring their vaccine card for a second or booster dose.
The Pfizer BioNTech vaccine will be provided as a first, second, or booster dose to eligible children ages five and older.
The CDC now recommends booster shots at 5 months after the completion of the primary series of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for those ages 12 and older.
For some immunocompromised children (with underlying health conditions), the CDC now recommends an additional dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to complete the primary series—a total of three doses.
“I encourage parents to talk to their healthcare provider about vaccination for COVID-19,” said Holly Hink, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with the Kid Clinic. “Your provider will be able to address specific questions about vaccinations, and talk to you and your children if they have questions.”
The Kid Clinic is a collaboration between Campbell County Health and Campbell County School District, providing primary medical care for children ages 2 weeks to 21 years old, and counseling services for children ages 4-21. To learn more about the Kid Clinic please visit www.cchwyo.org/kidclinic.
