CCH’s Partnership with APW to Provide Exceptional Patient Care Continues

GILLETTE, Wyo. – Oct. 25, 2022 – Campbell County Health (CCH) continually evolves to provide exceptional patient care. CCH recently announced it selected Aligned Provider Wyoming (APW) to manage CCH’s emergency department and hospitalist programs. APW is a clinician-owned management services group focused on serving our region. APW currently serves 11 healthcare programs in Wyoming and Nebraska. APW’s goal is to provide quality care to the Gillette community and a fulfilling work environment for the healthcare provider teams.

Change is difficult but critical to maintaining an excellent healthcare system in Northeast Wyoming. APW was selected to strengthen our ER and hospitalist program to ensure our patients have the best care. Our local press has been helpful in identifying some rumors regarding the changes to our emergency and hospital medicine programs. We want to ensure the community that we serve has the facts regarding this transition. As such, we’ve prepared answers to the most common questions below.

  • CCH ED physicians and hospitalists are in the process of finalizing new employment contracts.

  • All emergency and hospitalist physicians currently working at CCH received an offer of employment at their current pay rate.

  • Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PA) are exceptional care providers currently providing outstanding care to patients across the CCH organization. They serve our community and our patients with honor daily. It is because of the amazing patient experiences our NPs and PAs provide every day that CCH decided to bring this additional level of care to our emergency and hospital medicine programs.

  • No CCH team members were asked to leave their positions because of this transition. Some clinicians chose to take positions elsewhere after hearing about the change. We thank them for their service to our community and wish them the best.

  • CCH hoped to retain all existing physicians during this transition. While some team members chose to find other opportunities, we are fortunate to have the APW team’s extensive experience and regional network of highly qualified clinicians. APW has a proven track record of staffing emergency and hospital medicine programs across Wyoming.

Staffing challenges at CCH are not unlike those we see across the country. However, it is important to note that the emergency room and hospital medicine programs will be fully staffed. CCH is committed to maintaining the number of ED providers and hospitalists needed to provide high-quality care to our community. APW will work with CCH to fill any vacancies that occur so that our transition is seamless. We are very fortunate to have so many staff and partners committed to this community and the future of healthcare in Campbell County.

CCH is expanding its services to meet the community’s growing demands. This program with APW is just one example of how CCH is evolving to meet the needs of our community.

CCH remains focused on providing safe, quality healthcare in Campbell County and the surrounding region. Our vision is to become the first choice in healthcare and wellness in Wyoming by providing Excellence Every Day. Our agreement with APW will enhance the level of care we can provide our community and the experience we can provide our employees. Partnering with APW aligns with CCH’s mission and moves us closer to realizing our vision.
