CCH Invites Community to Celebrate National Night Out on August 5

Campbell County Health is proud to participate in National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5, from 5–8 p.m. at Third Street Plaza in Gillette. This free, family-friendly event is open to the public and offers a fun, meaningful opportunity for neighbors to connect with local first responders and public safety organizations.
National Night Out is a nationwide initiative that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. It serves as a powerful reminder that safer neighborhoods begin with trust, connection, and communication between residents, local leaders, and emergency personnel.
This year’s event will include meet-and-greets with the Gillette Police Department, Campbell County Fire Department, Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, Campbell County Health EMS, and other local leaders. Attendees can enjoy safety demonstrations, including first responder drone demonstrations, and visit with the hardworking K9 units and their partners. Adoptable pets from the City of Gillette Animal Shelter will also be on site.
Guests will have the opportunity to tour emergency vehicles and connect with various community resource booths offering helpful information and local services. To make the evening even more enjoyable, attendees will be treated to a free dinner of burgers and brats provided by The Prime Rib, chips donated by Smith’s Grocery and a choice of shaved ice from The Drift, lemonade from Main Squeeze, fresh donuts from Holy Moly (a YES House enterprise), or ice cream from The Ice Cream Café.
“National Night Out is a great way for our residents and first responders to come together under positive circumstances and take a stand against crime and other tragic events through community engagement,” said Colleen Long, CCH EMS Operations and Logistics Supervisor. “We’re excited to help build stronger, more connected neighborhoods.”
Bring your friends, bring your family, and enjoy an evening of food, fun, and fellowship, all while celebrating what makes Campbell County a safe and supportive place to live.
