CCH March 2018 Department Discovery: Patient Financial Services

The Campbell County Health March 2018 Department Discovery shines a light the Patient Financial Services department.

For those who don’t know, Campbell County Memorial Hospital billing (Patient Accounting) and Campbell County Medical Group billing (Central Billing Office) has combined and is now called Patient Financial Services. This department now provides billing, coding, payment posting, denial management, and other services surrounding reimbursement across the organization.

Patient Financial Services also helps patients find resources that may be available to them to assist with healthcare expenses. Patients may speak with Patient Financial Counselors within the department with any concerns regarding their statements, financial resources, and questions regarding healthcare coverage.

New Department Director Yvonne Robinett-Hoiland says that the 32-person team combined has more than 200 years of experience in healthcare!

“Within the Patient Financial Services department we have the ability to help patients navigate through the entire billing cycle. The staff is knowledgeable, compassionate, and works well as a team,” she says.

Beginning in April, there are some big changes taking place for Patient Financial Services. The CCMG Clinics are currently working to implement a new electronic health record (EHR) system, which will be on the same system as CCMH—resulting in one patient bill. Thus, improving CCH’s overall billing system for patients.

At the same time, Patient Financial Services will relocate to the main level of the Pioneer Building, (the old Pioneer Manor long-term care facility) across the street from CCMH at 900 W. Eighth Street. The site has convenient parking and easy access to pay your bill or visit with a financial counselor.

Patient Financial Services’ staff are looking forward to the move, and to being able to help patients more efficiently with the complexity of CCH’s billing system.

A big round of applause to the Patient Financial Services Team! Thanks for helping to keep our patients happy and healthy.
