CCH Continues Masking Phase Out for Employees

GILLETTE, Wyo. – April 21, 2023 – The Board of Trustees met this morning and voted to approve a policy to update the precautions and masking requirements at CCH. These updates affect all employees (excluding Legacy), vendors, students, volunteers, and contractual healthcare staff. Masking will no longer be required when providing patient care unless CCH lab positivity levels, county community rates, and CDC Community Transmission Levels dictate otherwise.

CCH leadership has been working diligently to address community members’ and employees’ concerns and input.

Anyone who wishes to continue masking is, of course, welcome to continue doing so. CCH thanks the community and its employees, vendors, students, volunteers, and contractual healthcare staff for their patience in waiting for this moment. Campbell County Health is dedicated to the health and safety of its community and will continue to respond appropriately if and when required.

At this time, masking is not changing at the Legacy. The regulatory bodies have slightly different regulations regarding masking in long-term care versus the hospital setting.
