Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they
do for this organization.
Allow us to introduce DeEtte Eby, MA, who works in the
Medical Oncology department of the CCH
Heptner Cancer Center—she’s been with CCH for 11 years, but been in patient care
for 16 years. For those who don’t know, Medical Oncology uses chemotherapy,
biotherapy and targeted therapies to treat a variety of cancers. DeEtte
is an Office Coordinator and
Medical Assistant (MA) at the Center. She is a long-time resident of Gillette, graduating from
Campbell County High School. In fact, DeEtte worked as a
CNA in high school, which helped inspire her to continue to work in healthcare
because she loved interacting with residents—she is currently working
on her national Medical Assistant Certificate.
Two of DeEtte’s health care heroes are two of her colleagues:
Stacey Hastreiter, APRN, and
Dr. Pauline Lerma. “They are a wonderful source of information!,” she says.
“I am very fortunate to work with an amazing group of professionals,
from the front office staff, to the nurses and doctors. Being able to
interact with the team makes patient care my favorite part of the day.”
When she’s not working, DeEtte loves to spend time with her family—she’s
been married 23 years and has two wonderful boys, Dustin, 20, and Brady,
18. “I like to travel, play games with family and friends, do crafts,
golf, and spend time with my family,” she says.
We asked DeEtte what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence
every day means to her. Check out her response:
“I take pride in myself being a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend,
and being a team member within an AMAZING department at CCH. Showing kindness
to strangers to helping those in need makes loving life easy. I am truly
blessed to work with people that have cancer. It has taught me to share
my strengths and build on my weakness. To be part of the Cancer Center
family means everything to me. I am very lucky to have such a caring group
of patients and co-workers in my life.
Excellence every day for me means to do my very best every day. That starts
with picking up trash on the grounds at CCH to supporting a family that
is in need of a hug, information or needs to talk. It means listening
to my co-workers and supporting their ideas and projects. It’s communication,
problem solving, and getting involved on a committee within our organization.
I am one of the many faces at CCH and I want the community of Campbell
County, Wyoming to know what a great facility we have and all it has to
offer. Let us be your first choice.”
Thank you, DeEtte for your compassion toward our patients, and for being
such a wonderful support system for your team. We appreciate you!
