If you’re interested in working in healthcare, have little to no
experience and don’t want to spend several years in school, becoming
a medical assistant might be a great fit.
Campbell County Health offers a healthcare education experience through
Gillette College for the medical assistant certification training. Compensation, assistance,
and clinical experience will be also be provided by Campbell County Health.
*Medical assistant students are expected to provide compensation for course
tuition and fees through Gillette College and will be reimbursed upon
completion of the course and delivery of a certified medical assistant
certificate. Upon successful certification, employment will convert to
permanent status and become eligible for benefits.

Medical assistants play an integral role in ensuring hospitals and clinics
run smoothly. They are responsible for both administrative and clinical duties.
Tasks may include but not limited to:
- Medical history
- Vitals and blood pressure
- Collect specimens including blood
- Transport patients as needed

Perform the following testing according to orders:
- EKG – medical device that asses heart function and condition
- Audiometry – medical device that measures hearing function
Benefits:
- Starting wage $14.14 minimum with relative experience and 5% increase after
certification
