Home Medical Resources seeks unused oxygen cylinders

GILLETTE, WY – Campbell County Health’s Home Medical Resources (HMR) is asking current and previous patients to look around their homes or businesses for unused oxygen equipment—specifically oxygen cylinders. If oxygen cylinders are found, patients are asked to return them to HMR between 8 am-5 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays.

“CCMH has seen a surge in patients needing oxygen after hospital care or having oxygen therapy at home to keep them out of the hospital, which has increased the need for oxygen cylinders and concentrators. Suppliers have been contacted; however, many are experiencing component and materials shortages, which has caused them not to be able to fill our orders.” said Mary Lou Tate, CCH Chief Financial Officer.

HMR is located at 901 W. Second Street in Gillette, Wyoming, and is open for walk-in customers Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 am-5 pm and available by phone Monday-Friday, 307.688.6260.

“Purchasing, reimbursement or buying back equipment is not something we are able to do, we are just hoping our current or previous HMR patients can help us with this need in order to take care of our neighbors and friends. To ensure the equipment is in proper working order, it will undergo thorough inspection and maintenance before being issued to patients,” said Michelle Fischer, CCH Home Medical Resources manager.
