Thanks for Working Here This Week: Susan Youngberg

Meet Susan Youngberg, Environmental Services (EVS) Tech. She has worked at CCH for 13 years. She began in Linen Services, and then became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She worked as a CNA for six years, and then came back to EVS.

Environmental Services staff are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all areas of Campbell County Health, from patient rooms to surgery suites, to offices and public spaces. They must adhere to strict standards of cleanliness to keep patients, visitors, and employees safe while performing their duties.

Susan’s healthcare heroes work on the ground floor of the hospital, saying, “There is a LOT of glue that keeps CCH together! Additionally, surgeons, doctors, nurses, nutrition, and EVS all look up to them for healthcare standards”.

“The appreciation from our supervisors and CCH staff for what we do makes me feel proud that I am a bigger part of this group than just a ‘cleaning lady’,” says Susan. “We have an amazing EVS crew! To me, that counts for a lot!”

To Susan, Excellence Every Day means striving to help each other go beyond their best.

“I’d like to thank all at CCH who go the extra mile to help patients and staff,” said Susan. “Don’t forget to smile – it means so much for so many!”

When she’s not working, Susan enjoys horses, swimming, fishing, and relaxing on the deck with her family and friends!

Thank you Susan, for taking great care of our patients every day at Campbell County Health. We appreciate all that you do.
