Hailee Morgado Selected for Journey Program

GILLETTE, Wyo. – March 15, 2023 – Hailee Morgado was recently selected to be part of Campbell County Health’s first Journey Program cohort. A senior at Thunder Basin High School, Hailee will join four other high school students who are aspiring healthcare professionals through this unique education program.

A Gillette native, Hailee has always had an interest in healthcare. She has worked at CCH as a CNA in Med-Surg since August 2022. Hailee is the first in her family to pursue a healthcare career, and her experiences have reinforced her passion for caring for others.

“I’ve been working in Med-Surg and really enjoyed that,” said Morgado. “And so I decided that the Journey Program could be a great next step for me.”

Hailee already has big ambitions after she completes the Journey Program. She hopes to continue to become a nurse practitioner. So far in her journey, Hailee has enjoyed the diversity of patients she can care for in Med-Surg.

“I love working with geriatric, special needs, and young patients,” said Morgado. “The best part of being up on Med-Surg is you get to see it all.”

When she is not busy with school or work, Hailee can be found snowboarding, at the lake whenever the weather is nice, or out fishing.

For Hailee, the Journey Program represents an opportunity to overcome the barriers and stresses of pursuing a career in healthcare.

“I think it [the Journey Program] will help so much,” said Morgado. “Not having to worry about the financial stress of being in nursing school, not having to move away, I’ll have the opportunity to just focus on school and be successful.”

Join us in congratulating Hailee on her admission to the Journey Program. Stay tuned for more as she launches her healthcare career and becomes a leader in the next generation of what it means to embody Excellence Every Day!

The Journey Program is a multi-year program that pairs education and job training. The 2023 cohort will enroll in professional development programs at CCH, and CCH will pay for their college classes and materials. Stay tuned for more feature stories on these amazing students!
