Bradley Lutz, MD

Dr. Lutz was born in Casper and has lived throughout Wyoming over the years. His path to medicine was anything but traditional. After high school, he began his career as a firefighter and paramedic, gaining years of experience caring for patients in emergency situations. During that time, he also worked in public safety communications, including building and maintaining 911 dispatch and radio systems throughout Wyoming.

In his early 30s, Dr. Lutz decided to pursue his longtime interest in medicine. He began his college education at Casper College before continuing his studies at the University of Wyoming and completing medical school through the WWAMI Medical Education Program and the University of Washington School of Medicine. He later completed his Family Medicine residency in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

During residency, Dr. Lutz gained broad experience caring for patients across many stages of life and a wide range of healthcare needs. His training included obstetric experience, and he helped deliver more than 100 babies during his residency. He also worked additional shifts as an emergency physician in a small rural community, where he cared for patients with everything from routine medical concerns to emergencies and trauma. These experiences strengthened his appreciation for the full scope of Family Medicine, as well as the importance of having access to comprehensive healthcare close to home.

Dr. Lutz enjoys the variety that comes with Family Medicine and the opportunity to care for patients throughout different stages of life. His approach to care is straightforward and collaborative. He encourages patients to bring their concerns to the visit so they can work through them together, addressing more complex health needs step by step.

For Dr. Lutz, returning to Wyoming was especially meaningful. He values the people and communities of the state and understands some of the unique challenges patients can face when accessing healthcare in rural areas. He looks forward to building relationships with patients and helping them make practical decisions that support their health and quality of life.

Outside of work, Dr. Lutz enjoys spending time with his wife and children, traveling, and exploring new foods. He is also a radio operator, an interest he developed at a young age. Through ham radio, he has communicated with people around the world and collected postcards and confirmations from more than 240 countries and territories.
