Christina Coffield , FNP-C, PMHNP-BC

Christina Coffield, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, provides compassionate behavioral health care for patients ages six and older, with a special interest in ADHD, anxiety, and helping patients navigate life transitions and mental health challenges.

Christina’s path to behavioral health began after earning her Family Nurse Practitioner credential in 2020. After joining community mental health in 2022, she discovered a passion for behavioral health and went on to pursue additional training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her FNP degree from Walden University and her PMHNP degree from Purdue University, after beginning her nursing education at the University of South Dakota.

Originally from the Black Hills area, Christina chose to make Wyoming home because of the welcoming community and the strong support for local mental health resources. She was drawn to Campbell County Health because of the opportunity to provide behavioral health services in a community where patients can access the care and support they need.

Christina believes that seeking help for mental health should never be something a person feels ashamed of. She focuses on building trusting relationships by listening without judgment, educating patients, and working together to identify challenges and develop an individualized plan for care. She believes patients do not have to be experiencing a major mental health crisis to seek support; sometimes, life transitions, changes in circumstances, or physical health challenges can have a significant impact on mental well-being.

Outside of work, Christina enjoys crocheting, spending time in nature, listening to audiobooks, and spending time with her family and pets.
