About Christina

Christina Rozier, DNP, FNP-C, is joining Campbell County Health’s Complex and Internal Medicine team as a family nurse practitioner. A Gillette native, Christina brings more than a decade of healthcare experience to her role, including 10 years of experience as a pharmacist. Christina earned her pharmacy degree, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Wyoming. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

After working as a pharmacist for several years, Christina decided to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner so she could build more personal relationships with patients and play a more hands-on role in their care. Her pharmacy background continues to be an important part of her practice, giving her extensive knowledge of medications, insurance coverage, affordability, and the challenges patients may face when managing multiple conditions.

Christina has a particular interest in diabetes care and enjoys helping patients understand how new technology, medications, and individualized treatment plans can help them continue doing the things they enjoy. Her approach to patient care begins with understanding each person’s lifestyle, priorities, and goals. Christina believes treatment plans should work with a patient’s life rather than against it. “Understanding what is important to someone is essential,” Christina said. “If family meals, travel, or certain activities are important to them, we need to find a way to incorporate those things into their care.”

She also places a strong emphasis on listening to patients and making sure they feel comfortable discussing concerns, including financial barriers to care. Christina works with patients to explore alternatives when medications or treatments are unaffordable rather than accepting that cost should stand in the way of receiving needed care. “I want patients to leave feeling heard and understood,” she said. “I want them to know they can feel comfortable coming to me with concerns, and we will figure out a plan together.”

Christina chose Complex and Internal Medicine because of the focus on caring for patients with multiple health conditions in one place. She appreciates the collaborative approach of the department and the opportunity to help simplify care for patients who may otherwise need to coordinate treatment among several different providers.

Outside of work, Christina and her husband enjoy traveling and scuba diving. They take an annual diving trip and enjoy exploring new destinations. Christina also enjoys spending time with her family in the Gillette area and their three cats.
