About Sara

Sara Dunbar, PTA, is a physical therapist assistant at Campbell County Health (CCH) Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Services. She earned her Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapist Assistant studies from Shasta College in Redding, California.

Sara's passion for physical therapy began with her lifelong interest in fitness, wellness, and healthy living. Growing up with two athletic parents who modeled an active lifestyle inspired her to pursue a career where she could help others improve their health. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of exercise and wellness with patients, empowering them to make positive changes and lead healthier, more active lives.

Sara finds fulfillment in helping patients regain their independence, rebuild confidence, and achieve goals that improve their everyday lives. She believes in the power of movement and exercise to support recovery and long-term health, often embracing one of her favorite sayings, "Movement is medicine."

Sara believes in providing individualized, patient-centered care that focuses on each person's unique needs and goals. She takes time to understand what matters most to her patients and emphasizes education, exercise, and personalized home exercise programs to help them take an active role in their recovery. One of the most rewarding parts of her work is seeing patients consistently apply what they have learned and gain the confidence to manage their health more independently.

Sara moved to Gillette after meeting and marrying her husband. She appreciates the supportive environment at CCH and enjoys working alongside colleagues and leaders who share her commitment to helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Outside of work, Sara is passionate about fitness and enjoys working out and staying active. She believes in leading by example and practicing the healthy habits she encourages in her patients. She also enjoys sports, playing in the rehabilitation team's summer softball league, fishing, hiking, and spending time with her husband and family. Sara especially enjoys visiting her daughter, who attends Biola University in La Mirada, California.
