Seth Taylor, PA-C

Seth Taylor, PA-C, has wanted to work in medicine for as long as he can remember. Even as a child, he was fascinated by how things work and knew he wanted a career where he could keep learning and helping others. That curiosity eventually led him to the military, where he served as a medic and gained experience caring for patients in challenging, high-pressure situations.

His time as a medic helped shape his decision to become a physician assistant. As a PA, Seth could build on the skills he developed during his military service while continuing to expand his knowledge and take on new challenges in medicine. “I like to know why things are the way they are,” Seth says. “I like mechanics, so the human body is kind of one giant mechanical machine.”

Seth recently joined the Wyoming Medical Associate's surgery team, where he cares for patients across general surgery, trauma, and vascular care. After spending the past three years practicing in the community, he was ready for a new challenge and was excited by the opportunity to join. “I like surgery,” Seth states. “It’s a lot of work and it keeps you busy.”

Seth and his wife moved to Wyoming three years ago after graduating from PA school. Choosing where to put down roots was a decision they made together. They each marked the states where they wanted to live on a map, looked for where their choices overlapped and started exploring opportunities. Wyoming quickly stood out.

Today, Seth says the mountains, wildlife, and opportunities to get outside are some of his favorite things about Wyoming. He especially enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors with his wife and their dogs.

While his career has taken him from his hometown in Ohio to the military and now to Wyoming, Seth says one thing has remained constant: his desire to understand medicine and continue learning.

“I’ve always wanted to do this,” he shares. “I never wanted to do anything else.” Campbell County Health and Wyoming Medical Associates are excited to welcome Seth to the surgery team and look forward to the experience, curiosity, and dedication he brings to caring for patients in our community.
