FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CCH to Host “Access to Healthcare Day” Event

GILLETTE, Wyo. – April 6, 2023 – On April 15, 2023, from 9 am to 1 pm, Campbell County Health will host its first annual Access to Healthcare Day at our main campus. The event is free and open to all community members. We will have case management professionals available to help connect community members and their families to help them better access care when needed. Providers and staff from over 20 departments will be available to meet and chat about all the healthcare services available through the CCH system. We will also have partners from public institutions, including the Council of Community Services, Children’s Developmental Services, Campbell County Public Health and more.

In addition to providers, patient advocates, and free screenings and services, we will have raffles for attendees with three different tiers of gift baskets. Our pediatric team will be hosting a Teddy Bear Clinic for families with young children.

Community members have listed access to care as one of the top concerns in northeastern Wyoming. Campbell County Health has been hard at work adding providers to the community to address the most urgent community needs and CCH has added numerous new services over the years that community members may not be aware of.

“A successful organization, a successful healthcare system, is one that not only listens to its community but acts on community feedback,” said CCH CEO Matt Shahan. “Our community has consistently listed access to care as one of the key issues facing Gillette and the broader northeast Wyoming community.”

CCH offers facilities and services that are uncommon in other communities of similar size. CCH aims to provide care close to home and provide its community with the highest level of regional care possible. CCH’s goal is to be a good steward of the community’s health and well-being, and a fundamental step in that process is to ensure the community knows what CCH has to offer. CCH is not here just to provide healthcare services but also guidance and support throughout each patient’s unique healthcare journey - beginning with breaking down barriers preventing people from accessing healthcare services.

“CCH offers services that many community members may not be aware of, and services and facilities that are typically only found in much larger communities,” said Shahan. “We want to reintroduce ourselves to the community and all we offer. More than that, we want to break down the barriers that prevent people from accessing the healthcare services they want and need.”

Please join us on April 15, 2023, from 9 am to 1 pm at CCH’s first annual Access to Healthcare Day. Becoming the first choice for healthcare and wellness in Wyoming means providing excellent services and ensuring that the community knows about those services and can access them.
